Also Known as: St. Margaret Ward

Born: Cheshire England, mid 1500's

Died: August, 1588 in London England

Beautified: 1929 by Pope Pius XI

Why she is venerated by the Holy Roman Catholic Church:
Martyr by torture and hanging

One of the Forty Martyrs of Wales

Assisted the escape of Father Richard Watson from prison

Was offered freedom if she let the authorities know where Watson was, and to convert to the Church of England. She declined and suffered tremendous punishment
