Saint Julia (Patron of Bodily Ills)
Patron Saint: Healing Bodily Ills
Born: July, 1751
Died: April, 1816 - Died of natural causes while Praying
Additional Patronages: Against Poverty
Beautified: May, 1906 by Pope Pius X
Canonized: June, 1969 by Pope Paul VI
Why she is venerated by the Holy Roman Catholic Church:
Without any formal education, By age 7 she had mastered all of the writings of the Catholic Church
By age 14, she was spending most of her time serving the poor
Established the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame. 15 Convents were in place when she passed
Miracles: Crippled at a young age, she was bedridden for nearly 20 years. Some of the impoverished people who she had inspired decades earlier, took up her work. When St. Julia had heard of this, she was instantly healed and immediately went to assist them
